RECIPE MONDAY!!!

April-Recipes for grilling outdoors!!!

I never was a big fan of turkey burgers but I made up this recipe and they turned out amazingly delicious!

Turkey Bean Burgers (courtesy of me)

1 lb. ground turkey
1/2 can of Navy Beans (15 oz can)
2 tsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp Vegetable juice
1 egg

sprinkle the following:
Lowry's Seasoned Salt
Black Pepper
Basil
Chili Powder
Onion Powder

Mix all ingredients in a bowl, form patties and place on a sheet of foil on the grill. Makes about 8 patties.

Let us know how you liked the turkey burgers.

  1. I don't really like beans. Are there any alternatives? Oh well, I think I could just try to make an experiment here. But hey, this really sounds delicious. Thanks for the post.

  2. Another option would be to use something like bell peppers. I wanted to use something that added some texture and I always have beans on hand, however bell peppers would work great too in flavor and texture.

  3. I would love to try this with black beans. I've never had navy beans before...

  4. I normally cook with black beans more than any other type, however I was afraid the flavor of the black beans might over power the flavor of the meat. Navy beans have a much more subtle flavor than the black beans in my opinion. When you try it out with the black beans let me know how it turned out!
