1/2 can of Navy Beans (15 oz can)
2 tsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp Vegetable juice
1 egg
sprinkle the following:
Lowry's Seasoned Salt
Black Pepper
Basil

Mix all ingredients in a bowl, form patties and place on a sheet of foil on the grill. Makes about 8 patties.

I don't really like beans. Are there any alternatives? Oh well, I think I could just try to make an experiment here. But hey, this really sounds delicious. Thanks for the post.

Another option would be to use something like bell peppers. I wanted to use something that added some texture and I always have beans on hand, however bell peppers would work great too in flavor and texture.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try this with black beans. I've never had navy beans before...

I normally cook with black beans more than any other type, however I was afraid the flavor of the black beans might over power the flavor of the meat. Navy beans have a much more subtle flavor than the black beans in my opinion. When you try it out with the black beans let me know how it turned out!
